Handbags or laptop sized bags are guaranteed to travel in the cabin as hand baggage. At any time should your overall baggage weight or number of bags including sports equipment exceed the complimentary free baggage allowance excess baggage rates will apply. Any sporting equipment with total dimensions exceeding 300cm 118 inches cannot be transported as checked baggage and must be sent as cargo or freight. If your sports items are not listed in the table the regular excess baggage rates apply. Inflatable sport balls such as basketballs soccer balls and volleyballs are accepted as checked or carry on baggage. If your sports baggage is not listed in the sports baggage rules the transport of your baggage will be charged in.

If the sporting equipment exceeds free allowed limits the charge from the table applies. Due to various types of aircrafts there is a limited space for sports equipment in the baggage hold therefore some items may not be accepted. Most sports equipment can be included as part of your baggage allowance and if you re flying with golf clubs you can take one golf bag for free in addition to your checked baggage allowance. If you carry your golf umbrella or parasol separately it counts as an extra item of checked baggage and you may have to pay if you are over your free baggage allowance.

Sports equipment bags and cases can t contain clothing or other personal items. They must be used only to carry sports equipment. Clothes and other personal items must not be packed in your golf bag with your clubs. If your kit exceeds these amounts you will be charged for having excess baggage.

You can bring most sports equipment with you on your trip though keep in mind that standard checked baggage fees apply based on cabin travel region and total number of checked bags. When flying to most destinations please follow our check in luggage guidance for weight and dimensions. Overweight baggage fees apply to bags that exceed 50 lbs and bags cannot exceed 115 linear in 292 cm length width height. Sports equipment can be transported free of charge as hold baggage provided it does not exceed the allowed weight and dimensions extra charges will apply only if taking more baggage than permitted in your travel class or if it exceeds the maximum volume or weight allowance.
